Grimsby Town win 5-4 on penalties.
Grimsby will visit with Premier League giants Chelsea from the Carabao Cup next round after James McKeown’s penalty shoot-out heroics from Macclesfield.
McKeown, named captain ahead of the eighth year rescued from Connor Kirby and Fraser Horsfall following the rearranged tie finished.
And the reward of his side is a money-spinning trip to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
Actual opportunities were far and few between despite Macclesfield using a lot of the ball at central locations.
While Theo Archibald also called home goalkeeper James McKeown into action Miles Welch-Hayes and connor Kirby fired wide midway through the first half.
With James Hanson, Ogbu linked-up neatly at the end — however, the Nigerian forward was unable to muster a first-time finish to match.
Upon the restart, control was presumed by the house side. However, opportunities were given by Ogbu, Matt Green, and Hanson.
Elliott Whitehouse dragged narrowly wide on the elongate, with youth graduate Max Wright moving near making his mark after coming off the bench.
In the end, though, the tie was settled out of 12 yards as club captain McKeown took centre stage.
